Message From the LIHD Board of Commissioners

It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that our Superintendent of the past four years, Anne Presson, is leaving her role in the District at the end of this year. Anne has not only served as the LIHD Superintendent but has also held the same position with the Orcas Island Health Care District since July 2018. She has done an outstanding job setting up and running operations for the two Districts and managing relationships with clinic operators on both islands.

Anne came to us with an extensive background in health care leadership, and it’s not a surprise that she was contacted by a previous colleague looking to fill a key role in another organization. While we’ll miss Anne’s passion, skills, and innovation, we look forward to watching her accomplishments on a national scale. We wish her all the best in this new role, and we know she’ll continue to make a positive impact on the future of health care in this country.

Anne will move to a temporary status in January and continue to provide limited support over the coming months. We are seeking a person to fill the Superintendent role on an interim basis as quickly as possible and will be finalizing the process to recruit and hire a permanent Superintendent.

If you have an interest in learning more about the interim or permanent role, or if you know someone who would be a good candidate for the position, please send an email to: apresson@lopezislandhd.org. A job description will be posted on the LIHD website following the LIHD’s 12/21 Special Board meeting. That meeting will be held from 10 am – 12 pm via Zoom. You can access the Agenda, which contains the Zoom link, and other Board materials HERE.

Please join us in wishing Anne well in her next adventure.
